Today, it is difficult to keep track of the vast array of project management software available. The promise of visual transparency and decentralised communication is very popular in the age of digital project work. And although they represent our cloud-based present in bright RGB colours, their interfaces are full of reminiscences of control techniques from centuries past.
Through a mock workflow, this website offers insights into the changing organisation of work, from the factory floors of industrialisation to modern agile practices. Visual features such as timelines, kanban and retrospective boards illustrate how historical methods still influence how we coordinate our work today.
